Exiting PXE Boot - Changed ACHI To IDE And Now Won't Boot


I’m almost positive that you have a bad hard drive. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to back up my files before I have my laptop re-imaged? Without the system recovery cd in the drive I can not use F8 to get the Advanced Boot Options. i know its from a virus. it may be that this sheet metal provides a ground or other closed circuit between the final screw cover on the HDD bay back to the motherboard. but when its not working and the error messages come up it says either none or a bunch of hearts and faces. you are a life saver.

There’s lots of solutions and it seems to be that one PXE error we all get. I did notice that many of these PXE errors began with the same wording but ended with differnt error line. Windows8 won't boot and will tell me i need to repair it.What can i do to fix it ?Automatic repair from install CD isn't helpful.
