you can only do this from the local machine where the files are stored/shared. If a network scanner upload files via SMB to the fileserver, the users doesn't see any new files until they reboot the Windows 7 clients. Very annoying. Disable Auto-Tuning. 3.

Daniel That's it! Then check whether you enable offline files, if so, please disable it to have a try. We're using FTP -I've tried usingSMB instead but have the same problem that way as well. I have been running with SMB2 disabled shortly after my first post here in December 2010 and have NOT seen the problem re-occur.

Done! If so, how can it be changed? At first I noticed just a few not showing up, but now out of 15 files in a folder only one is showing (video files and folders btw), the other folder I first tough this could be a NetApp bug or something but now after reading this thread it's just an epic fail of microsoft.

Happened to anyone else,a workaround maybe? Did not enable offline files on the laptops, yet they have this problem.
