No surprises, after putting all together, my keyboard doesnt work anymore. As usual the heat sink was completely clogged up. After a few attemps at moving around the mouse, thinking the laptop was 'asleep', I realized it wasn't trying to 'awaken'. Remove the top cover assembly.

HP G62 and Compaq Presario CQ62 are very similar (if not completely identical). To remove the old fan, unscrew the 4 spring screws on top of the processor so that the heatsink holder is freed up.
