I have lots of data in my disk. Also the current PC works with different flash drives (1GB and 16 GB) in the """front USB""" well in windows XP but the extHDD won't work on front USB. in disk management it says that it is Removable, 7.87Gb read Only, and it shows the primary partition is 7.87 GB RAW, Healthy (Active, Primary Partition). I was more fortunate in that everything on the drive was still intact (no need to recover anything). Well, you might need that port one day!
