Report DJ- Oct 9, 2009 at 10:34 AM Running the laptop while it was wrapped up in my hotel bedding until it turned itself off did not work.

i was sure from the beginning that this will work for me since my laptop was booting perfectly into windows-how do I know that without the display?? The requirements of the graphics card are: Has to be a low profile card (the desktop will not accommodate a larger card)Has to have a low profile plate (i.e. your CPU might not be able to handle the GX2, because its a powerful card, id rather suggest a 9800GT (great card but not a CPU killer lie the GX2), your U really solved a big problem for me too. :) I turned off my computer before 3 days at evening, and turned it on next day at morning...nothings happened.

Thanks Report Greek HP- Nov 7, 2009 at 10:14 AM I had the same isue and I used a repair service sold on ebay for 80$. And I think your currency is still above the dollar (haven't looked lately) so you'd get it cheaper than £50.

Hopefully this will work ... Or (as it freezes whenever it does turn on; generally at the Windows loading screen) should I just leave it when it freezes in hopes of it overheating? It got very hot, and turned itself of. It's apart of the system.

But it worked for me. The 210 does not require much power.. so I knew there's gotta be a loose connection which I read was the solder of GFX card. Thankyou, this forum has just saved me $275 for a new motherboard.

Their advice was that the repair is temporary and I need to replace the motherboard. That worked perfectly on her dv2000. The one your LINK shows is a 3.0 and NOT compare to the 2.1 standard.
