Google Chrome - Text Spacing Issue When Typing

This should not have been allowed to get through to the stable level! changing DPI. So the code should be shared per the above CL. It is the only way I can explain why the website displays poorly in both browsers. More about the author

Text on tabs is blurry Entire navigation area is zoomed up and "pixely": 2. The problem has just hit my work computer (stable 37.0.2062.94 m) today, which is Windows 7. I would say that typing in a URL is an anachronism in 2013. What would be a word for a product that is below the expected level of quality? a fantastic read

Also the facebook is all "blurry", fonts and stuff. For very high-net worth individuals, does it make sense to not have insurance? Using the /high-dpi-support and /force-device-scale-factor switches luckily corrects this, but in no way should a user be required to fiddle with command line switches just make the browser look like it Folks, I think this issue goes beyond Chrome and I'd like to see if anyone else can confirm what I see.

This is the solution. In box-model terms, it's the element itself (i.e. How can it be, that Google, wasn't it chosen richest company in the world some tome ago, is a complete failure when it comes to Chrome. In Chrome, I have always had auto spacing in the address bar, which is what I want.

Please see attached screenshot where you can compare to other windows app (iexplore), here is what I note: 1. Firstly, I note that it is not possible to get back to the original effective zoom level as there is no "80% zoom" option. Many web pages don't fit on the screen or are incorrectly laid out now. I think the chrome.exe entrypoint code needs a custom version of ShouldUseDirectWrite that does the same logic, but doesn't check the current DPI?

It makes Chrome almost unusable on affected systems. See top left of for how "changing font size" appears -- so this will probably be relatively common on Vista. Do you not understand that font spacing is messed up when OS zoom is > 100%? Get Have companies apply toyou.

No idea what happened. Comment 32 by [email protected], Jun 27 2014 Processing @scottmg Mine used to be like Jonathan's, where some letters were spaced out and some were really close to the others, but it Did Apple not originally allow anyone to develop software for the Macintosh? My guess is that this is related to the Windows Control Panel display option to increase the font size by a factor of 125% but I don't want to turn that

So, leave Vista > as DPI-unaware. > > See top left of for how "changing font > size" appears -- so this will probably be relatively common on > Vista. Idk what version it was added, but it's working as of 30.0.1599.101. click site Searches want spaces between words, and URLs need periods and no spaces.

The size change is intentional, it's larger to accomodate larger fonts, which are larger to match the selected dpi. All times are GMT -5. But we don't want to let hidpi into the FieldTrial because we never want it off for hidpi (for the same reason).

Most text is much larger (especially address bar), and letter spacing is incredibly uneven in proportional fonts, with some letters being too close together and others being much too far apart. The "fix" described above in #80 doesn't work for me; my directwrite windows flag is already off. Do we really need OO languages to manage software complexity? Comment 7 by [email protected], Jun 6 2014 Processing Is it possible that this is caused by the new 64 bit Chrome Dev and Canary released a couple days ago?
